Of hydrangeas!!

Of hydrangeas....a finicky plant.Was in Melbourne the other day and fell head over heels with the hydrangeas there.They were huge!!I hv one bush but it never bloomed except for once and the blooms were straggly!This time there r around 10 huge blooms and I know the secret ingredient.?.Epsom salts and OT booster.

Bangi in the morning

Gutenmorgen from Bangi.Its 7.47 but its dark outside!Wak8ng up.hete is different from waking up in TP!Here I hear motorbikes alot and also the ringing of bells.The neighbour is a Hindu ...a very pious one.In my earlier trips here I often wondered abt the bells so early in the morning!!

ElectricTrain Service

Yesterday was my maiden ride on an electric train.Twas a short trip from.Gemas to Kajang.The first thing I checked out was the toilet!!Thank the stars and the moon it was clean and shiny like a pin!Twas a good ride and there r plans to.ride it up to Padang Besar way up North

Tutti Fruitti...the latest craze in Jb.Its healthy?yogurt with fruits!Expensive it may be...Rm5.30 per gram,its no big deal to those who congregrate there.he kids were here so after dinner we trooped there.it was Aris treat!!

Singgah Selalu!!

We've expanded..says Singgah Selalu the famous eatery by the Straits.Thats why they have those beautiful hanging lights like those along the beach front in Port Dickson!The seating area is also bigger but alas the service is not so efficient!We used to be able to order the moment we were seated but now u've got to catch the waiter's eye.Most of the time his 'eye' is somewhere else!

Adha fare

What we ate for Hari Raya Adha..nasi beriyani (repeat performance) with ayam masak merah etc.Delicious!!

jelly with lychees

After so many years of not making a jelly,this was for Hari Raya Adha dessert!

Marble cake with a difference..the difference here is it is baked with the heat at the bottom only.Only the last 5 minutes is the heat on the top and bottom.Thats why the cake is whitish so the contrast of colours is very distinct.This is what attracted me most!

Theres dessert too today!Cooking frenzy!Todays dessert is sago pudding...a childhood recipe but cranked up to suit todays style!Also so-o-o-o yummy!Hows abt a kiss for the cook?

Nasi Ayam dgn ayam madu!!..It was so insanely delicious esp the chicken.I used honey so it was crispy outside and soft inside!Cili sauce too was appetite provoking!Applause please!..and kiss the cook!

Lunch for the day

Dessert to boot for yesterdays lunch.Sago balls rolled in dessicated coconut and a pinch of salt.I thoroughly enjoyed dressing it up!Was good.


This is the dish for todays lunch.I enjoyed it tremendously...sweet and sour fish.The black pomfret was fried to a crisp and with sauce poured over it..it was divine!

A Sunday sojourn in the kitchen

After quite a while looking for a nasi beriyani recipe,I finally found it.So it was to the kitchen that I went this sunday morn.The mood was good so there was a dessert to boot.Verdict?...if they ate with gusto,then it was good ...I suppose.Yay!!
