CUN!!!

Just watched the movie "CUN" a malay movie. This was one of the rare times I spent 2 hrs watching a malay movie. No disrespect for the Malay movie moghuls in Malaysia but I was only a movie buff when I was young...not now anymore. The film is actually a copy of an English movie...(I forget the title)...I watched in Diva channel. However what entertained me most was not the storyline but the cast.Maya Karin was good and so was Remy Ishak the hero. But I'd give the Oscar to Manis (Nadia Nisaa). Her portrayal of a mentally-retarded teen was magnificent!!At times I thought she was MR!!There were many rare sights into the life in Malaysia like the simple and peaceful life one gets to experience in the kampung and also how some city folk try to make a fast buck from the private lives of artistes and the famous! The kids have booked tomorrow afternoon for a session with Shaheizy Sam the up-and-coming star in "Kongsi".I watched him in "Ngangkung" (also at the urging of the kids) and he's one to watch. So come tomorrow afternoon ,I'll be sandwiched between the 2 fellas and rolling together on the sofa at the antics of Sam!!
