Rojak Asma synonymous to the state of Johor especially Johor Bahru is also called rojak Larkin.Larkin is the area where most of the stalls are and new stalls sprout when Ramadan pays its visit!!
Its a concoction of greens..salad and julienned cucumber and a variey of fried items.You can have fried tempe.tauhu,fritters,fish-cake,animal innards,cuttlefish....it depends on the creativity of the hawker.Not very healthy I assure you,with everything fried but its something the family has once a year.
The 'piece de resistance' here is the 'kuah' or the gravy.it makes or breaks the dish!Its contains peanuts and mashed sweet potato.If the gravy has a zing or ooomph to it, be prepared to see an empty platter!!if not its on its way to the trash-can.
Nilah salah satu hidangan buat berbuka pada ari pertama bulan mulia ni.nampaknya makin berumur mkn kurang appetite.
