The heliconia plant is a very special kind because the flowers come in numerous colours and shapes.I forget the number ..apologies.It is considered an exotic plant and in great demand in countries that experience the 4 seasons.This is one plant that can be left alone after you 've planted it.It needs no fertilizer except for the occcasional trim.However after the flowers fade they have to be cut.You should cut it about 3 inches from the ground so that new shoots will grow.A mass of them in a tall vase makes a great difference to your home decor.All of ME
